Iron Maiden: site oficial anuncia seis datas no Brasil

O site oficial do Iron Maiden foi atualizado com as novas datas da turnê. Dentre elas constam apresentações no Brasil, a saber:
26 de março, sábado - Morumbi Stadium, São Paulo;
27 de março, domingo - HSBC Arena, Rio de Janeiro;
30 de março, quarta-feira - Nilson Nelson, Brasilia;
1º de abril, sexta-feira - Parque de Exposições, Belém;
3 de abril, domingo - Parque de Exposições, Recife;
5 de abril, terça-feira - Expotrade, Curitiba.

IRON MAIDEN, junto com sua equipe e toneladas de equipamentos, estará novamente a bordo do Ed Force em fevereiro de 2011 para voar 50.000 milhas ao redor do mundo na gigantesca "Final Frontier World Tour", fazendo 29 shows e visitando 26 cidades em treze países sobre cinco continentes com Bruce novamente no assento do piloto, e abrindo mais novas fronteiras de territórios do Maiden!!!
O primeiro show será dia 11 de fevereiro em Moscou, de onde o Boeing 757, que contará com novo design para combinar com o novo álbum e turnê, voará com a banda para Cingapura e Indonésia para os primeiros shows do Maiden na região, antes de aterrisar na Austrália para atuar como headline em duas apresentações isoladas e participação em cinco datas do festival Soundwave. O Ed Force One então voltará sua atenção brevemente para o hemisfério norte com um show inicial na Coréia do Sul e dois shows em Tóquio, antes de prosseguir para o Pacífico, uma jornada que (acredite se quiser!) os levará a 6660 milhas para dois shows no México. Então seguirá uma ampla série de shows em estádios por cinco países da América Latina, incluindo a primeira visita à Belém, no Norte do Brasil, e, via Porto Rico, a banda segue para o último show desta parte da turnê em Tampa, na Flórida, EUA, no dia 17 de abril, exatos 66 dias após o início em Moscou!
Diz Bruce, "Nos surpreendemos pela fantástica reação de todos para com o Ed Force One durante a turnê mundial de 2008/2009. Como viram nossos fãs no filme Flight 666, que documenta todas as dificuldades e atribulações pelo qual passamos para literalmente tirar o projeto do chão, no fim das contas valeu a pena todo o esforço e complexo processo logístico com o qual tivemos de lidar! A banda e equipe se divertiram muito em viajar assim, portanto parece natural que esta etapa da turnê The Final Frontier prossiga da mesma forma de maneira que possamos atingir o máximo possível de fãs ao redor do mundo, mas desta vez estamos ampliando os limites ainda mais e seguindo para lugares onde o Maiden nunca esteve antes! Estamos ansiosos para tocar em Cingapura, Indonesia e na Coréia do Sul pela primeira vez, assim como em visitar novamente nossos fãs dos outros lugares."

Desde seu lançamento em Agosto pela EMI (UME nos Estados Unidos), "The Final Frontier" - décimo quinto álbum de estúdio da banda - os fez experimentar sua melhor posição nas paradas na história, atingindo o posto de número 1 em vendas em 28 países ao redor do mundo; do Líbano, Arábia Saudita, e Índia, ao Canadá, Nova Zelândia, Reino Unido e Europa e América Latina, assim como atingiu o primeiro lugar em três paradas da Billboard (European, Tastemaker e Rock Charts), e quarto lugar nos Estados Unidos, a maior posição alcançada lá pela banda.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 66 DAYS!! Ed Force One Back In Action For 2011


IRON MAIDEN, with their crew and many tons of equipment, will once again be boarding Ed Force One in February 2011 to fly 50,000 miles round the globe on their continuing mammoth Final Frontier World Tour, playing 29 shows and visiting 26 cities in thirteen countries across 5 continents with Bruce again in the pilot's seat, and heading into more new Frontiers of uncharted Maiden territory!!!

The first show will be on Feb 11th in Moscow's Olympic Stadium, after which the Boeing 757, which will have new designs to tie in with the new album and tour, will fly the band to Singapore and Indonesia for Maiden's first ever shows there, before arriving in Australia to headline two arena dates and five Soundwave Festivals. Ed Force One then turns its attention briefly to the Northern Hemisphere with a first show ever in South Korea and two shows in Tokyo, before heading all the way across the Pacific, a journey which (believe it or not!) is 6660 miles for two shows in Mexico. An extensive series of stadium shows through five South American countries follows, including a first visit to Belem, Northern Brazil, and, via Puerto Rico, the band will play the final show on this leg of the tour in Tampa, Florida, USA on April 17th, exactly 66 days after Moscow! Says Bruce, "We were taken aback by the fantastic reaction from everyone to Ed Force One during the 2008/09 World Tour. As our fans all know from the "Flight 666" film, which documented the trials and tribulations we underwent in order to get the whole project literally off the ground, the end result was well worth all the effort and complex logistics we had to deal with! The band and crew enjoyed themselves so much travelling that way, it seemed only logical to set up this part of The Final Frontier tour in the same way so we could get to see as many fans as possible all over the World, only this time we're pushing the boundaries even further and going to more places Maiden has never been before... in true Frontier style!! We very much look forward to playing in Singapore, Indonesia and South Korea for the first time, as well as revisiting our fans everywhere else.
